Scampers (Ages 5-6)
Designed for first-time campers, the activities for this age group include creative games, arts and crafts, stories, songs, and daily recreational swimming.
Trailblazers (Ages 7-11)
Designed for children who really enjoy the outdoors, this camp has an active program filled with sports, games, arts and crafts, hiking, nature lore, large and small group activities, and recreational swimming.
Explorers (Ages 11-12)
While enjoying the recreational fun of camp, young people at this challenging stage of life will participate in group sessions dealing with life skills needed to meet the teenage years head on.
Counselors-In-Training Program (Ages 15-17)
The Counselors-In-Training program gives motivated teens the range of knowledge, attitudes and ability to become successful day camp counselors. See the Executive Director for a C.I.T. application.

NOTE: By enrolling your children in Chilton County YMCA Summer Camp, you agree to allow the organization to take photographs of your children during practices and games to be used for publicity and print materials. If you are not comfortable having your child photographed for any reason please inform the Camp Director.

Staff

When parents leave their children in the care of others, it is important that they have peace of mind about who is watching their children. At the YMCA, we choose our staff for their love of children, and their teaching skills. All staff members go through an extensive training program. Our camp counselors do not baby sit: they teach and encourage children, helping them grow in maturity, self-esteem, and social confidence.
